Benjamin,

Although the free version only handles Excel requests the Enterprise Version's ODBO Provider supports any XLMA client.

"The Enterprise Edition of the BI Suite includes the Palo ODBO Provider, which will interpret XMLA / ODBO requests from any client." from http://www.jedox.com/community/palo-forum/thread.php?threadid=1861

Hi,
the ODBO driver is now included in the community edition of Palo. But it seems they don't provide the full XML/A support that would be needed to access Palo from tools like Rex or Wabit.

I've used XMLA with Mondrian but not with Palo. PALO XMLA is a not free and you would need to contact Jedox re downloading it.
